How It Works
Engagements are designed to follow the same six-step sequence.
Getting started
- Take the scorecard (optional). Take the Business Independence Scorecard for a quick self-check.
- Book a free conversation. A fit conversation about where the business stands, not free consulting.
- Agree on the scope. If working together makes sense, the next step is agreeing what the work covers.
Placeholder — Clark to supply: nothing further for now. Draft note of the agreed flow: an engagement is agreed by emailed documents, signed electronically, with an emailed link to pay by bank transfer, debit or credit card. Everything is kept in one secure folder. No phone or in-person contracts. The signing and payment tools themselves are not built yet.
The six steps
- Understandthe business, the owner, the history and the future you want
- Diagnosethe financial, operational, people and owner issues that matter most
- Prioritizeby financial impact, risk, feasibility, urgency and your goals
- Implementwith us, through your team, or with outside specialists
- Measureprogress with practical operating, financial and owner-centered signs
- Preparefor more freedom, a management transition, succession or a sale
Where the work happens
The practice is available to owners across the United States. On-Site Consulting is offered when being there in person makes a real difference.
Placeholder — Clark to supply: how the work is delivered (video, phone, in person, and in what mix), which video meeting tool is used, and whether calls are recorded (recording needs consent language reviewed by counsel)
Start with a conversation
A free Business Transition Conversation is a chance to talk through where the business stands and whether working together makes sense. It is a fit conversation, not free consulting.
